Halloween is around the corner.This was an English class with the theme of Halloween, which engaged all the students in the Halloween activities: Singing, learning English vocabularies related to Halloween and trick-or-treating.As the storyline developing, we integrated music into the English class,students learned and achieved a lot in this abundant and meaningful English-music class.
The storyline of this class is about a lonely queen who lives in a castle, then the pumpkin monster suggested to invited the students to have a Halloween party in the castle so that is more fun. When students closed their eyes, teachers transformed into the queen and the little pumpkin. The queen announced that: on Halloween Eve,only the students who pass the tests from the queen and little pumpkin could get the prize--precious candies.
首先，认真学习并掌握了闯关技能（phonics）的小朋友们才能进城堡大门。学生在唱Halloween Count Song, 并巩固已学的Phonics---Gg, Hh, Mm, Pp, Vv和所对应的chant。第一遍加入Phonics的手势操进行学习，第二遍加入音乐律动进行练习。
First, students needed to learn the phonics skill to enter the castle. So they sang the Halloween count song to consolidate phonics--Gg, Hh, Mm, Pp,Vv and the chants. First, they sang with the phonics gesture excises.Second, they practiced with the music rhythm.
The queen was pleased with their performance. Then the pumpkin monster requested the students to spell words with the letters that were mixed up, and read aloud to everyone.
They passed the tests! So the queen took the students to the pumpkin monster for candies. But the pumpkin monster locked the door, they needed to knock the door until the monster feel satisfied.So that she would open the door. Then, the students were divided into groups,and finish their mission perfectly.Finally,they’ve got their candies! Yeah~
